Soldier Thank You
>> Saturday, June 30, 2018
Welcome!
What better time of year to thank our soldiers than the 4th of July?
My original plan was to stamp the ends of the Shooting Star stamp in white and then emboss them with white embossing powder, but I got to thinking that if the misti will help get a really black image it can do the same with white, so I loaded it in my misti and stamped each one twice, plus all I had to do was rotate my card and it was in the same position both top and bottom. Next I stamped our Soldiers of America greeting in black ink on red card stock (again using my misti) and layered it on both white and blue. I stamped the Shooting Star 4 times on scrap using black ink and after coloring and fussy cutting I adhered them as shown and attached all to a folded blue card.
Thanks so much for stopping by!

Wonderful sentiment, Sue - I haven't really noticed it before but it is so patriotic and true. Great extra touches with the starts and flourishes. Wonderfully done!
I really like how you did the stars on this patriotic red, white & blue card. That's a really good sentiment too.
Fantastic patriotic card! I love the way you used the swirls from the stars on the background, it's perfect for the soldiers sentiment!
How wonderful, Sue! Love your patriotic card & all the stars. The star trails look like fireworks.
