A Fish and A Flower
>> Wednesday, May 30, 2018
It is great fishing time here in Alabama now. My Son-in-law loves to do night fishing and takes his young son fishing all the time. They loved this card. It was super easy. I stamped the new Let the Adventure Begin Greeting and the Jumping Fish image. Then I did a few brushes of water color wash across the page. I stamped another fish and fussy cut him out and sponged around the edges with distress ink (sponged around the edges of the card panel too). I added a bit of Stickles to make the fish look more real.
I need to get more Christmas cards done too so my next card is a Christmas card. I made it by swiping ink on some aluminum foil and misting it with water. I placed my paper in the ink and let it dry. After drying, I cut one panel for the card and stamped on the Christmas Especially to You Greeting. I then stamped the Giant Poinsettia image three times on the left over paper. I colored the flowers a bit more with Alcohol Markers. Then I spread on some gel medium and sprinkled on glitter. I like the gel medium because it gives the flower more texture than glue. I layered up the flowers cutting out the leaves from them and tucking them in the bottom. I added three gold gems in the middle.
Hope you are having a wonderful week.
Hugz,
Nancy
