Tons of Snow

In Central Alabama, we declare Winter over at the end of February (even if a cold snap hits us after that - this week it is in the 80s), so I am getting in a few more winter cards.

On the above card, I used aluminum foil swiped with ink and splashed with water to make my sky.  Then I stamped the Snow Tree with Fence image and added a bunch of snow with Snowtex and white acrylic paint.  I then die cut the frame piece and mounted it all together.  To add more interest and to show off these cute birds some more, I die cut a branch and tucked in the cute little birds fussy cut from the new Bird Feeder image and part of the sentiment from Birds of a Feather Friends greeting.

On my next card, I cut up some mountains and added a bit of interest with some modeling paste and an embossing folder.  I made a little ink smear on one of the peaks so I decided to add even more interest with some stripes.  For contrast I die cut a black snowflake and cut it up to to back my sentiment.  This sentiment is one of my favorites - Blizzard of Thanks.
