Bugs and Flakes

Good morning!!
I used alcohol inks on these acetate snowflakes so they are still see
through and the color won't rub off when handled.
DRS stamp: Blizzard of Thanks 545F
I used a rainbow type pad for my greeting to go with the colors
in the snowflakes.
I also added lavender rhinestones to the centers
of each snowflake
Here is another last minute Valentine
These all may seem a bit small (and no, the card is not extra large)...I stamped the heart and bug on shrink plastic 3 times each and cut them out, punched and 1/8" hole at the top of each and then put them in my toaster oven (I only use for crafts) and watched them shrink...that is so funny to see!
I then added the wine wire and curled the ends around a narrow handle brush. I added a spot of glue under each bug to keep them in place.
The card is from a sketch at SCS's. I added a bow
because it just needed something extra (to me) but you could
leave it off and color the bugs red to make it a cute boy card too!
Have fun getting crafty!
Thanks for visiting today!!

Robin, such fun stuff today. Great acetate snowflakes (great tip on the inks) and I love how you did shrinking on the love bugs. I have always wanted to try that. Love your fun ideas and fun cards!!! Cute, cute, cute!
These cards are so creative and fun! I love the beautiful colors you achieved on the acetate snowflakes. I'd say it was the idea of the day, but then you come up with shrinky dink love bugs! Just when you think they can't get any cuter, you turn them mini! They're completely adorable :)
Robin, these are so cute! I really like the snowflakes made from acetate. Those bugs & hearts on the second card are soooo fun! Great cards!
Where do I start???? Your acetate snowflakes are INCREDIBLE!!! The plain white card is the perfect background to show off these beauties! And your itty bitty ladybugs are adorable! You've got me itching to pull out my shrink plastic too!
LOVE your acetate snowflakes, Robin! The colors are beautiful & the matching rainbow greeting is so pretty. Your little love bugs are so cute. Love that they're dangling down w/ little hearts.
