Happy Friday!
I hope your week has gone well! And I hope you're staying warm. We had snow here again last week! At least it wasn't anywhere close to the more that 9" we had before Christmas.

The color challenge on Splitcoast was red, white & silver this week & I thought they were the perfect colors for Valentine's Day. So I started thinking about hearts & sequins & somewhere along the line, I thought why not fill the heart w/ sequins?
After I die cut the hearts, I started gluing down the sequins. I started w/ big red ones then added small red ones (& 1 silver) on top. Silver sequins were used on the small heart & I outlined both w/ a silver sharpie. The white linen bg was sponged w/ a couple of red Distress inks from the top down then to soften the blend, I sponged white Brilliance from the lower edge of the red upwards. That left a bit of a sheen that you see in the closeup. It was die cut twice & a metallic silver layer added in between. The little hearts below the greeting were filled w/ red stickles.

Here's a look at the inside.

And since I'm still a little behind the curve & playing catch up w/ my cards, here's a sneak peek at some brand new, wonderful images coming out very soon. I made this for the sketch challenge at Splitcoast. Isn't this birdhouse adorable? Wait til you see the other new images!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great weekend!

Wow, wow, wow. Both cards are totally wow card, Julie. I so love the hearts with layers of sequins and soft sponging. The inside is just perfect too. The card with the new birdhouse is super awesome too - great coloring, colors, and design. Brilliant creations. Hugz
