Fall Colors and Themes
>> Wednesday, September 27, 2017
I went on a retreat in the mountains this past weekend and was able to feel some Fall air - it was wonderful! Here in Central Alabama, we pretty much have to wait until Winter is about to start to get a break from the heat. I am always jealous of other areas at this time. We still visit the Pumpkin Patch in October and our local one should be opening up in a few weeks. We had fun with the Grandsons last year, but this year they will be 2 and totally able to run around have fun - should be some serious fun. My first card today celebrates the fun I am anticipating.
For my next card I used some of my new Distress Oxides (I am a huge fan now).
I used the new Script Happy Thanksgiving Greeting stamped with Distress Ink and added the Open Leaf image which I colored up with Distress Inks and Prisma Pencils. I felt it needed a bit extra so I added some gold Stickles making them look like paint splatters.
Hope your Fall is full of beautiful colors.
Hugz,
Nancy

Oh, that image on Kraft is just fabulous! What a brilliant idea, it's so perfect for fall! I absolutely love the simplicity and the neutral tones. Well done on the second card too! The background is so cool and I love the subtle multi colors on the leaves!
Both of these cards are incredible Nancy!! I agree with Karin - stamping the pumpkin patch on kraft was brilliant and your coloring of it beautiful!! Your 2nd card has me thinking that I really need to get me some distress oxide - you nailed a perfect fall background to go with your wonderful leaves!!
Love your tea stain looking bg Nancy! Perfect for your fall leaves and I love the pumpkins painted on kraft at the top of the page, amazing look!!
Gorgeous cards, Nancy! I really like them both! Love the pumpkin patch stamped & colored on Kraft CS. YOUR LEAVES ARE SO PRETTY ON THE SECOND ONE,
