Flower Sympathy

Welcome!
Do you have a favorite stamp that you know won't let you down when you need a card in a hurry? I do!! Whenever I'm pressed for time my "go to" stamp is our Dogwood Branch - and it hasn't let me down yet!
I started my card by stamping the Dogwood Branch on purple paper using silver ink and heat embossing it. For my focal image I cut a 1 3/4" strip of grey card stock and stamped our May Memories Comfort You Greeting using purple ink and then the Dogwood Branch on top and bottom using a medium grey ink. I colored the flowers using pink and green markers. I had some silver ribbon I wanted to add
but didn't really have a spot for it, so I got to playing with it and ended up taping some to each long side on the back and just left the very edge showing. Everything was then layered together on grey card stock and then on a folded black card.
Thanks for stopping by!!
Sue

This is a beautiful sympathy card, Sue. I like how you have the ribbon peeking through on the edges. Whoever receives this will love it.
Yes! The dogwood is my favorite flower stamp and this is just a beautiful card! I love silver background and the edge of the ribbon around the sentiment looks so pretty :)
The dogwood is a great stamp and you showed it off perfectly. Love the added ribbon.

Wow, wow, wow!!!
This is beautiful, Sue. That was awesome way to use that ribbon. I may have to try this with some I have. Love the embossing. A wow card for sure! Hugz
Beautiful, Sue! The dogwood looks so elegant embossed in silver. It's one of my fave images, too.
