Waving goodbye to winter

Welcome!
Don' you love it when you see something and a card idea pops into your head?? It happened to me this week as I picked up our Goodbye Winter stamp and I immediately pictured the mittens from our new Skip Winter stamp waving "goodbye"
I started my card by cutting a hole in the center of a piece of card stock and then sponging on blue and purple inks and over stamping it with our Interlocking Snowflake background using turquoise ink. Next I stamped just the mittens in the snow from our Skip Winter Stamp on a separate piece of card stock and after coloring it I layered it behind my circle and adhered both to a folded black card. Now for the fun part.... I stamped a couple extra mittens on scrap and after coloring them and fussy cutting them, I built a couple of "springs" by twisting some wire around a unfolded paperclip. For my signs, I stamped the 2 separate sections of the Goodbye Winter stamp, sponged on some color and cut 2 corners on each. I glued the springs on the back and attached them to my card using foam tape. Is is sad that I can't resist pulling on the mittens to make them wave back and forth??
On a normal card I'd be cleaning up at this point, but I needed to finish this card by using the rest of the Goodbye Winter saying, sooooo....
for the inside of my card I cut another piece of card stock and stamped the rest of the greeting in the center. I added just the flowers from our Spring Crocus stamp along the bottom and colored them in purple! Now it's time for cleanup :)
Thanks for stopping by!!

What a great card, Sue! I like how you used the snow & mittens on the outside with the flowers on the inside -- perfect for the sentiment!
