Thanksgiving Blessings

>> Tuesday, November 1, 2016

Hi Everyone,

Now that Halloween is officially behind us, it only seems fitting to showcase a Thanksgiving card on November 1st.  I just adore all of the colors associated with this time of year, so I colored up the new Cornucopia stamp using my Copic markers.  I fussy cut it and then layered it onto a piece of brown card stock and fussy cut it once more, giving it a small dark mat.

I took inspiration from the colors of the stamped image and made my own background.  Taking a piece of acetate I added some inks, spritzed them with water and then smooshed my paper onto it, giving it a watercolor effect.

While the background was drying. I stamped the Thanksgiving Blessings in brown ink, adding a punched border to the strip.  When all seemed dry, and before assembling, I rounded the corners on all my card stock and created an embellishment of die cut leaves to finish it off.

Thank you so much for peeking in today!
