Hang in There!

Happy Friday

I hope your week has gone well! School started here this week & oh joy! School buses are back, traffic stacks up & I think every single one of the buses needs new brakes. They all squeal so bad it makes you grit your teeth. It's made even worse when they try to navigate our quiet little cul de sac where sound bounces off the surrounding hills & makes it go on & on & on. Such a lovely sound! 

Anyway...to make my card, I stamped the right facing monkey then used a blank piece of rubber in my Misti & stamped the monkey onto the rubber, then stamped this reverse monkey on my card. I colored them, masked them (here's a tip..after you stamp your reverse monkey, ink it again, stamp it onto the rubber, then onto scrap paper so you'll also have a reverse mask), & stamped in the branches & vines. After coloring them, I used a self made cloud stencil to sponge in some cloudy sky & I used a torn mask to sponge in the ground area. The greeting was stamped on white, the corners rounded & I attached it to a green die cut speech bubble.
