Cowboy Up!

Good morning!

Here is another masculine card to go along with our Thursday challenge!

DRS stamps: 1121K Cowboy Garb, 626P Wood Grain Bg

I used a stamp aligner to stamp straight and just the left side of my wood grain background top and bottom then masked them off and stamped the sides to make my frame.  I stamped the cowboy gear in the center and then oval cut with a Spellbinder oval nesting die.

I colored the image with Copic markers and then sponged the edges and inside corners with Vintage Photo Distress ink.  I sponged the oval with a lighter Antique Linen on the edges.

I added foam tape to the back of the frame, wound some twine around the left side then attached it to an aqua layer so that it would be popped up over the image.  The image is glued straight down onto the aqua and then the layers are mounted to a folded white card base.  I added a "concho" metal piece to the twine after tying a knot (I also tied a bow but cut the loops).

I have to tell you a little secret...don't tell anyone but, I LOVE cowboy boots!!  I have a closet full of them in various colors!  Before you think anything bad of me, those are my dress shoes, unlike most ladies, I don't own any high heels or low heels or whatever a lady might usually use for dresses or dress slacks.

I wear my boots with all my dresses/skirts for church and/or any other time you might need to dress up!!  Yes, I am a cowgirl.

The only other shoes I have are my tennies.

We don't have our horses any more because of back issues but I am definitely still a cowgirl at heart!!
