Cute As A Bug

Good morning!

Heard the expression "Cute As A Bug"? Ha!  I never really thought bugs were cute but I have to admit that this little smiling ladybug (or as some say, Lady Bird) is pretty cute.

I die cut the medicine bottle and stamped the ladybug 578F inside then colored and added google eyes.  I die cut two Frames and stamped the little ladybugs 941C all over them. Before attaching the frame I stamped the sentiment Caught A Bug? 755D.  I attached the frame with foam tape and wrapped the panel with Baker's Twine then glued it to the top half of the card front, (front had been score in half at 2 1/8").

The inside panel was stamped with the sentiment Get Well Soon 1097E and then embossed with a sunshine folder. I cut a piece of yellow with a stitched circle die and attached it to the sun portion, cutting off the excess.  I pierced holes for my ladybug brads and left them up a little instead of making them flat so that they would act as a stop for my easel card.  I attached the frame with tape runner and that was it, easy!

 You could do any size as long as the front is scored in half again and you make another front panel to glue to the top half of the scored card front.  So, in this case, for my card I cut one 5 1/2 X 8 1/2 cardstock, scored it at 4 1/4 and 2 1/8 then I cut a 5 1/2 X 4 1/4 cardstock to decorate and glue to the top.

The inside of the card will need some sort of  3-D "stop" to hold the card open.  You could use a pop up embellishment or a sentiment that is popped up, you get the picture.
