Happy Friday!
I hope your week has gone well! It's been a scorcher here with lots of late night thunderstorms. You know..the kind where the weather radio is tripping over itself with alerts. If they could narrow it down a bit to say, just MY county, I think that would be a real bonus.

My card today came about when I saw the sketch challenge on Splitcoast. All those curvy layers just said shooting star to me. Actually my card is pretty easy… …except for the part where after die cutting all the sections, I had to put them back together & make them fit inside the matting die. Yep..not that part. The background on top was already made & in my stash so that was easy. It’s a water color w/ Brushos & splattered w/ gold acrylic paint. The gold embossing of the stars & splatter was easy…but not the greeting. I had to do a lot of masking to combine two greetings, so not that part. And not the part where I accidentally hit the spoon sitting in the jar of embossing powder & it went everywhere…definitely not that part. But die cutting the gold star which just happened to be the exact right size of the original image was easy :)

Thanks so much for stopping by! If you haven't yet, be sure to check out the DRS Thursday Challenge..it's a bright color challenge this week.

What a grabber Julie! Love how you changes the grad stamp to make it a birthday image - you're always thinking! Sounds like making this card didn't go as smooth as some, but you went BIG! and that's way better than going home :)
