Memorial Day

Since today is Memorial here in the USA, I thought I'd share a patriotic card in honor of our military heroes.
I've seen a lot of shaker cards on line and in card magazines lately so I decided to create one. I haven't made a shaker card in years. I started with a blue card base and added a red panel. Next I stamped the oval stain glass image on white CS with Memento Black ink and colored it with red, blue and light gray Copics. The blue panel was stamped with the splatter background image in VersaMark ink, after die cutting the circle out. The sentiment was stamped in black ink on white CS, then the USA was stamped in red after stamping off once. Sequins were added to the inside for the shaker part and some star buttons in red, white and blue complete the look.
Thanks for stopping by today!

What a fun, patriotic card!! Love the shaker card idea and how you used the stained glass in the background! Also love how you split up the greeting and used the USA in back of the Home of the free....
