Butterfly Sympathy
>> Monday, March 16, 2015
Today I have a monochromatic sympathy card to share with you. I started with a piece of watercolor paper and used a blue gelato to add color to the paper. Once it dried I used a nestie to die cut it and layered it on a white panel and then on to the blue card base. The large silhouette butterfly was stamped in VersaMark ink and embossed with detail white embossing powder. I stamped the sentiment in VersaMark and embossed it as well, then die cut it with a nestie label die. The little butterflies were left over from a border punch so I added them to the label along with a couple of tiny white half pearls. A white satin bow completes the look.
This week's challenge here at DRS Designs is to use flowers on your card. I think this is a very timely challenge, considering how ready most of us in the states are for spring!! You can see details here. We'd love to have you join in the fun.
Thanks for stopping by.
