To Have and to Hold
>> Monday, June 16, 2014
This week DRS Designs is the proud sponsor of Love to Scrap and their challenge this week is "Holey Cardstock." Participants are to create a project with at least one hole in your cardstock so your stamping shows through. The hole(s) can be any shape and can be punched, die cut or hand cut. It can be layered and adhered to the card base or you can leave the open hole cut through the front of the card base. I used an oval nestie to die cut the opening in my card and stamped the To Have and to Hold sentiment inside so that is shows through.
After die cutting the opening, I did the same cut on another piece of white CS, then embossed this piece with a CB Damask folder and sprayed it with Luminarte Shimmer Spray. The white frame was created by die cutting the same oval along with a beaded oval shape. Some MS oval rhinestones were added to some of the beaded sections of the frame. A sheer white ribbon finishes it off.
We'd love to have you join in this challenge as well as DRS Design's weekly challenge. You can find out details here and here.
Thanks for stopping by today!
until next time,
shelia
