In Deepest Sympathy

>> Wednesday, March 19, 2014

Welcome!

Sadly, I am once again in need of a sympathy card.  I never seem to have one ready to go, so I tend to make them rather clean and simple.  I was fortunate with this one since I already had the leaf strip stamped, colored and sponged.

I remember spending a bit of time on the leaf strip, first stamping a yellowish card stock with one corner of our 4 Corner Butterfly Background stamp and after coloring the leaves in I sponged on both butterscotch and taupe inks.  I had left it in one long strip so it was a simple matter to cut it in 3 pieces and mount and trim all on black cs.  For my sentiment I stamped our Brush in Deepest Sympathy on white card stock using black ink, sponged on butterscotch ink and layered it on black.  I attached everything to a folded rust card that I embossed with swiss dots.

Don't forget you still have time to play along with our challenge "Be a good Egg" and possible win a $10.00 store voucher!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Such pretty colors and embossed bg, Sue. Sympathy cards are never fun when you need one, but this is lovely.
