Cupcake Inspired Birthday

>> Monday, March 24, 2014

This week DRS Designs is the proud sponsor at Cupcake Inspirations. As soon as I saw the cupcakes for this week, I knew I wanted to create a Flower Pot Pocket card.

I used kraft CS for the flower pot. The base is stamped with Vicki's Versatile background in TH Antique Linen, while the top flap was embossed with the Swiss Dots folder. The flower pot is held together with the sheer yellow ribbon. The tiny birthday greeting was stamped on white CS with Memento Black ink, die cut and sponged with bright yellow ink. The flowers were punched with a daisy punch from Friskars. The leaves were punched with a MS punch. White buttons and yellow baker's twine were used for the centers. There's a tutorial on Splitcoast Stampers that gives all the details and sizes for this type of pocket card.  The Sunny Days Birthday greeting was stamped with Memento black ink on the insert panel.

We'd love to have you join the fun at Cupcake Inspirations. You can see details here. And this week's challenge at DRS Designs is Bloomin Spring - use a flower on your card which you could make work for both challenges! Gotta love a two for one!! Hope you can play along!

Thanks for stopping by today.

Until next time,
shelia

This is so pretty, Shelia! I haven't made one of these in a long while, but I may have to now. Love the big yellow flowers & button centers.
