Thanksgiving Turkey
>> Tuesday, October 22, 2013
Hi Everyone,
I had my first taste of turkey this past weekend. I roasted a turkey breast that I still had in my freezer from winter, and while it was good, it really put me in the mood for the traditional holiday meal with all the trimmings. Let me tell you, a meal of turkey breast and steamed veggies is not the same as one with stuffing and mashed potatoes! Thanksgiving cannot get here soon enough :)
So today's card shows off the Turkey Dinner stamp. Now THIS is what a turkey should look like :) Don't you love the perfect iconic look? Even if I did have those little frilly footies (not sure what they're called...lol!) my real life turkey wouldn't look like this!
I colored this with Copic markers, die cut the image with my Spellbinders rectangle die and added some Stickles to the cranberries.
I chose to use some patterned paper I made with the Woven Plaid stamp, because it reminds me of a tablecloth my mom would use on our Thanksgiving table every year. I stamped the
Wonderful as You greeting in a cranberry red ink, added a bit of printed ribbon and some matching gems to finish it off.
Thanks for stopping by and remember to check out our challenge each Thursday here on the blog!

I think I'm gaining weight just looking at your card Karin!! Not only is your turkey "done" to perfection :) I love the plaid and colorful leaf ribbon you've served with it!
Love how you stamped the sentiment right over the plaid! Thanks for reminding me that sentiments don't always have to be stamped on a solid colored area!
Love the plaid table cloth, Karin!!! And this is a cute Thanksgiving card! Makes me hungry for turkey & all the fixings!!
