Happy Friday!
I hope your week has gone well! I'm sure y'all know October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month and with that in mind, I made this card for the annual Hope You Can Cling To Challenges on Splitcoast. Everyone is encouraged to participate and send their cards to MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. Having lived in Houston for a long time, I'm very familiar with the great research and treatment there. When my daughter was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma, she also received part of her treatment there. So my card is on its way!
I tried a technique called Bokeh Background because it looked like so much fun. I used a pencil eraser & the 2 pink inks to create the Bokeh bg directly on my card front. On the smaller top layer, I die cut the sunburst circle & stamped the greeting and ribbon in the lower left. I used the lightest pink ink to stamp a splatter pattern on the corners of the top layer. After die cutting the butterfly and the solid wing backing, I used Copics to color the intricate butterfly a pale pink then used the same splatter image to add some more color to the center.A pink rhinestone and some pink sequins finished my 4.25 x 5.50 card.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great weekend!

Love the message of this card Julie, and pairing it with that gorgeous butterfly is perfect. Love the scattered sequin embellishment too :)

Julie - you've outdone yourself! Each element is wonderful by itself, but together is stunning!
