Happy Labor Day!
>> Monday, September 2, 2013
Today is Labor Day in the USA. For many it means a day off. For me it means a day free to stamp and create!! Well, at least this morning. This evening we will be hosting a cookout with some friends.
DRS Designs has some new Christmas stamps just being released, so I thought I'd share a card I created using the new Christmas Fence stamp. I had just gotten back from a trip where we drove through Kentucky and saw all the beautiful pastures with white wooden fences, so of course I made my fence white. :-)
I started with a white card base and added a real red layer. I stamped the Christmas Fence and the Tree Line border with Memento Black ink on white card stock, colored the images with Copics, sponged Bashful Blue ink in the sky and added some crystal stickles to the snow lines and base of the fence for sparkle. The sentiment was stamped in black ink on white, die cut and layered on a red die cut panel that was attached with snowflake brads. This card really does remind me of that drive through Kentucky!!
Thanks for stopping by today. This week's challenge is "Mad about Plaid." We'd love to have you join us. You can see details here.
Until next time,
shelia

What a beautiful winter scene with just the right amount of sparkle.
Enjoy your day, Shelia!
Beautiful scene, great use of the fence. Great card.
Such a lovely winter scene, Shelia! Love the fence and the frame around your greeting.
This card is so peaceful looking and I love that you kept the picket fence white! Beautiful glittery touches too!
It's been hot and humid enough around here that you've really got me dreaming of all that snow - it's like eating a peppermint patty! Thanks!!!
This card is just lovely, Shelia. I can hear the quiet from here!
