Halloween Cat in the Moon

Happy Friday!
I hope your week is going well! Quick..don't look at the calendar. Uh oh. You looked. Friday the 13th. Oh No!! And a card w/ black cats!! I'm thinking that one black cat might have been bad luck, but two?? They probably cancel each other out...like eating cake & a diet coke. Actually, Friday the 13th has historically not been a bad day for me. I even had some surgery on an Friday the 13th and it all turned out fine. Monday, the 16th is a different story. One Monday the 16th, a car crashed into my car. Another Monday the 16th, I broke my leg...car vs. bicycle type accident. Don't have that bicycle anymore. Think I'll stay home on Monday, just to be safe.

Anyway, I love making Halloween cards...they are just so fun! This one started with a sketch on Splitcoast that gave me a few fits. Don't know why but I had trouble with it. After playing w/ it for quite a while, I finally arrived at what you see here.

For the cat in the moon, I used a few yellow Copics then die cut using a big circle. I did the same for the sentiment and the two ring frames around the fussy cut cat & mouse, are actually from the sentiment die cuts. I had to make them a little smaller & I liked the way they looked instead of another full circle image. I added some stamped white stars on top and some starry ribbon across the bottom of the fence. The finished card is 4.25 x 5.50.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great weekend and a lucky Monday!
Supplies:
paper: white. black, butter yellow
ink: Memento tuxedo black & cantaloupe, Versafine onyx, Brilliance moonlight white
accessories: Spellbinders circle dies, Copic markers, ribbon, fence punch (Martha Stewart)

Love that one little yellow star and the layout is amazing! The day's not over, but this 13th has proved to be one of the strangest in a long time :)

Love how you used that layout to show off those stamps! Love how you added the stars and the fence too--they are a nice addition to the scene you created.
