In need of Sympathy Cards

>> Wednesday, August 21, 2013

Welcome!

Last week Jennifer mentioned how she had been in need of a sympathy card and she posted the beautiful card she made.   She made me realize that my own pile had dwindled down to 1 lonely card and I decided to add to it so I wouldn't be caught short.

I've mentioned before that I really find it relaxing when I make sympathy cards and tonight was no different.

I started my card by stamping the vine half of our Flower Vine Card Edger using black ink on a sage green card stock.  I then stamped to the left of the vine using our new Splatter Background stamp.  I stamped our Thoughts and Prayers Greeting on ivory card stock and after trimming layered it on black.  I attached both to a folded black card and added 4 pearls that I colored black.

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Don't forget to check out this weeks challenge - 1 Decorative Edge!  You have 'til 6pm to link your card for a chance to win!!!

Great idea! Love how you used the Card Edger stamp down the middle instead of actually putting it on the edge--my wheels are turning!!!

Lovely clean design for a sympathy card and the partially stamped background portion is a great idea!

Sympathy cards are so hard to make. This one looks great.
