Happy Friday!
Has your week gone well? I hope so! I'm trying very hard to finish this post because we have some bad storms rolling in. This year has been very strange, weather wise, and it's been extremely wet. So wet, I think we're all growing webbed feet around here, lol. It's mid June and we haven't had to turn our sprinklers on yet this year!
When it's rainy around here, we have toadstools pop up like weeds in our yard. So I think it's appropriate to share a toadally fun card today. I stamped the toadstools a few times, colored them w/ Copics and cut them out. I attached them to a die cute petite oval and then to a slightly larger rectangle on which I stamped the splatter background w/ a couple of colors of ink.
For once, I remembered to list the Copics I used, if only in a quick pic. Since this is a little different color combo, I'm sharing it just in case you're interested. the greeting was stamped on a rusty brown panel along w/ the double chevron image. The colors may be a little different for toadstools, but I think the colors worked well together. I fussy cut around the chevron image and embossed the green panel before attaching them to my 4.25 x 5.50 card.
Supplies:
Stamps: Toadstools, Splatter, Toadally Wonderful Greeting, Double Chevron
paper: white, rusty brown, mossy green
ink: Memento tuxedo black, potter's clay, bamboo leaves
accessories: Cuttlebug embossing folder (Poppy), Copic markers, Spellbinders petite oval dies

Lovely card , Julie! Those toad stools look amazing-super coloring!!
I don't know if those colors have anything to do with real toadstools - but I love 'em! I also love how the splatter background looks in full color!
Julie you have done it again amazing. Love the colors and the layout.
You did an awesome job picking out the colors and pairing the sentiment with the toadstool mushrooms! I always think to use an actual toad image!
Amazing color combo and those are some beautiful 'shrooms too! Love that bit of chevron in the backgournd and the way you cut the edges :)
Love it. Thanks for showing the copics you used. The "toads" are wonderful.
What a lovely card, Julie. I love the texture you added and, of course, your coloring is awesome!
