Pink and Black
>> Sunday, June 30, 2013
Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. I have been making birthday cards. I like to have some stored away, because sometimes life happens and I can't make that special card but hand made they get. For the card that I have today I used the DRS designs Girly Swirly Birthday cake. It was colored with Copic markers and the shading is Distress Ink (Antique Linen). A Spellbinder die was used to cut out the image and a black layer was added behind. The Vertical Birthday Greeting was stamped with black ink and layered onto a black card. For the ribbon, I used a technique from Splitcoast - gathering and adding pearls. This was added to a black strip. Everything was layered onto a pink card, then black and added to a white card.
Don't forget to join in the challenge this week at the DRS designs blog.
Have a wonderful day,
Janett
