Sympathy Card

>> Tuesday, March 26, 2013

Hi Everyone,

I have a sympathy card to share with you today.  These are the hardest cards to make when you need one quickly, so I love having them on hand.

I started with a lime-ish colored card base and paired it with a deep purple.  I stamped the Long Tall Wheat to match the green and then I switched to purple for the flowers from the Four Flower Background.

The Textured Butterfly was stamped in Versamark on vellum, embossed with a purple, glittery powder and then fussy cut and attached to the card only in the middle.  This let me bend the wings a bit and give it some dimension.  Lastly I stamped the Extending Sympathy in purple as well.

Thanks for stopping by!

Karin, I really like the color combo on this and the way you stamped the wheat and flowers. Very pretty sympathy card.

This is beautiful! Great color choices and what a great idea to stamp the wheat in something other than brown! Love it!
