Happy Birthday to You
>> Tuesday, September 25, 2012
Hello Friends,
I don't know about you, but I have GOBS of birthdays this time of year. Starting in September and going through October, I have the need for a dozen cards. Crazy! Anyway, that's what inspired my card share for today's post.
I decided to use the new Birthday Flower Circle for the focal point of my card, since the stamp has the sentiment included in the center of it. After coloring the flowers, I stamped it a second time, punching out the center, adding some chalk shading and using a pop dot for dimension. This was then layered onto the Circle Spiro Design that I cut out with scissors.

The Interlocking Flowers background stamp was a natural fit, due to the matching flowers and I added a strip of ribbon and some gemstone flourishes for a bit of girly flair.
Have you had a chance to play along in our "Punny" challenge this week? Don't fret, there's still time! Check out the DT cards, they're sure to make you smile :)
Oh, and stay tuned...New stamps are being released at the end of the week!

I can't decide if this card is pretty or funky! I love that it's both!!
This is wonderful, Karin! Love all the flowers and the mainly black/white combo w/ the splash of purple. Your gem swirls are so pretty.
