My Motto

Happy Friday!
Yep, that note says it all! That's my motto...all the way. I even have a note pad on my fridge that says "The only reason I have a kitchen is because it came with the house." Don't get me wrong. I can cook; I just don't want to. I don't even like to think about what's for dinner. So if my husband doesn't give 2 weeks notice that he's tired of a dish, the rule is, officially he still likes it. :) And to paraphrase Erma Bombeck "My second favorite household chore is cleaning (she said ironing, but I don't do that, either). My first being hitting my head on the top bunk bed until I faint." I miss her witty words. She was one of a kind.

These terrific new DRS images will be released tomorrow! Yay! I love 'em! I crack up every time I read this greeting. Even my husband laughed. He knows me so well. So I stamped my new favorite lady and colored her w/ markers. I had this black oval frame left over from something and liked it so I cut around her elbow in order to let it be out of the box a little. The 50's retro sparkles were stamped in pink and black on the bg. I added a double punched border and a line of similar sparkle ribbon. I thought the punched houses and fence made her look like she's breaking out of the burbs, lol. You go, girl!!

The finished card is 5.50 x 4.25. Thanks so much for stopping by! Forget the cleaning and go have fun this weekend!

That sentiment is so funny & true for me too. T he pink & black color combination is perfect. The houses & fence punches do indeed make her look like she is "breaking out of the burbs" as you say.
