Embossed Cross
>> Tuesday, February 28, 2012
Hi Everyone,
Can you believe that we are nearing the end of February already? I don't know about you, but I'm ready for spring to come. Not only for the flowers, but for more daylight too :)
Anyway, my card today is a monochromatic one with the main image of the Lily Sympathy Cross heat embossed using white embossing powder. I think using this technique on the card, really shows off the elegance and detail of this image. And, while this is labeled as a sympathy cross, I love this image for Easter time as well :) I then used a coordinating ink and stamped the Sealed with a Prayer, before cutting it out with my oval die.
To finish the card, all I did was add some layers, one of those being a dry embossed one, and attached everything with some pop dots for a bit of dimension.
Have you had a chance to play along in our weekly challenge? The theme for this week is "Use a Tag" Hope to see you there!
Have a great day,

Karin, this is so lovely with the monochromatic theme and the white embossing. A very classy creation.
What a wonderful card! Your heat embossing and paper embossing are both terrific! Sealed with a prayer just finished it off!
Your white embossing really shows off the stamp. The layers and colors make a beautiful card.
