Thankful

Happy Monday Everyone,
I feel like I should be working on Valentine cards since Valentine's Day will be here shortly, but I did not get any Thank You Cards made before Christmas, so I've spent the weekend working on thank yous!! My Thank You cards range from CAS (clean and simple) to Shaped Cards using Nestie dies.
This Thank You was made using DRS Designs Plaid Background (613P). This plaid is my favorite. I love how it looks like real cloth. I stamped the plaid in Handsome Hunter and Cranberry Crisp. The sentiment is the same as in the CAS card. The middle strip was made with a Martha Stewart punch. The bird is SU 2 step Bird punch. I embossed the bird and it's wing in 2 different CB folders and added a small half pearl for the eye. On the inside corner I stamped the branch from DRS Designs 4 in 1 stamp (385M) in Handsome Hunter.
For my final card I used a Nesties label die to cut a shaped card. I've seen a lot of these lately and wanted to give it a try. It's really not difficult at all and I like the result!
After die cutting the card, I embossed it with the Swirl CB folder. I made a frame using the same label die and the next smaller die out of purple cs and attached it to the front of the card. The center panel is stamped with DRS Designs Butterfly Vine (914H) and the same Thank you stamp. Can you tell I like butterflies? I colored the butterflies and vine with copics, added a purple layer and a punched butterfly to complete the card.
Well now that the thank you cards are made, I guess I'd better go and address them, etc. so I can get them in the mail!!
Until next time,
shelia
