Merry Christmas Stocking

>> Monday, October 17, 2011

Happy Monday to you all! October is over halfway gone and Christmas will be here before you know it. That means it's time to get serious about getting those Christmas cards created. :-) DRS designs has some really cute new stamps to help you with your Christmas card making this year.

Here's a card I made using their new Stocking with a Scene stamp (857L). The scene is so cute and easy to color. I used my copic markers and then added flower soft to the top of the stocking. I cut my stocking out and mounted it on a Spellbinders pendant. The background was made with the Open Plaid background stamp (631P). My sentiment is part of the new Christmas Greeting Ornament (844K). I just stamped the image and cut the line I wanted to use for my greeting. I gave the greeting a small border to finish it off. Just writing this makes me want to go create another card. But we have company coming and I really need to clean this house. Hmm, choices, choices. Maybe I can do both!! :-)

Until next time.

Awesome coloring! I'm not sure why plaid and Christmas go so well together, but you proved that they do! Nice job on the greeting too - I almost didn't recognize it!! Great to have you with us!

Beautiful! What a great idea to only use a portion of the Christmas ornament greeting!
