COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS

>> Wednesday, October 12, 2011

Hello Friends! The sentiment "count your blessings" often reminds me of the old hymn "Count your blessings name them one by one..." and triggers my thought process to actually think of all the things I am thankful for!

Here are some details to my card... I started out by stamping the Fall leaf and Acorn on Bashful Blue card stock in brown ink. I stamped the Squirrel with the Acorn on White cardstock and water colored it with my Aqua painter and Water color crayons.

I accidentally dropped the stamp and smudged the card stock around it, so I took that as an opportunity to cut out the squirrel and stack him on Spellbinders. Normally, I would look at that as an opportunity to embellish my card but decided that there was too much ink around it for the lay out I had planned. So when in doubt, cut it out! :)

Here are a few more details:
Stamps: Count Your BlessingsFall leaf and Acorn Squirrel with the Acorn
Cardstock: Caramel Core'dinations, Chocolate Chip, Bashful Blue, Whisper White
Accessories: Aquapainter, Watercolor Crayons, Spellbinders, Grand Calibur, Dimensionals, Fence Die cut , Cord, buttons, sponge, SU Embossing folder, Big Shot, Paper Snips

Thank you for stopping by! I hope you have a blessed day!!!

Gotta love fussy cutting! This is fabulous with the monochromatic look. The leather is such a great touch.
