An Early Thanksgiving card
>> Sunday, September 4, 2011
Welcome!!
I'm happy to say we've all survived Irene and except for our phones still giving us a few problems, everything is back to normal. Yeah!!
Actually all the downed leaves, bright blue skies, and cool nights have me thinking fall a little early this year so when I sat down to stamp that's where I ended up.
I stamped our Bunch of Wheat using brown ink, colored it using Bic Mark-its and cut it out. I scored an 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 piece of cs 2 1/8 in from both ends and folded it so both ends meet in the middle (I believe this is called a gate fold?) I stamped the bottom fold with our Woven Plaid stamp using vintage green and brown inks. I stamped a yellow strip of cs with our Thanksgiving Thinking of You using more vintage green ink and sponged on brown around the edges and assembled as shown.
Thanks for stopping by!

Early Thanksgiving is right! You've completely skipped September and October completely! Great card, love the plaid!
So pretty, stranger! I like that plaid and your wheat is fabulous. My favorite time of year!
I love the plaid on a diagonal...Very cool! Now I'm thinking about turkey :)
Terrific fall card, Sue! Love the colors and plaid.
Hey! You finally got something done early! Great card Sue!
Sue, what a great idea putting the plaid on an angle. Pretty, fall card!
