Bee Well (aka I Must Be Sick!)

The card is finished, but it took me longer to fix the things that went wrong than it would have taken to start over. Geez, Louise, I must be sick! Anyway, I stamped the new Bee Well sentiment (more than once, lol) and went over it w/ a black glaze pen. I probably should have just embossed it and saved myself the mess when the first one was ruined because the glaze pen leaked like a sieve. I guess it's a good thing c/s has a reverse side. Most everything you see is a reverse side, lol.
I stamped the Polka Dot Bg in yellow on white. Well, I did this twice, too. Note to self, do the yellow first and then do the black dots on white. Or else really clean the black ink before using the yellow ink. Back side again. These were die cut w/ mega oval dies. Had to redo the embossed die several times, too. The die kept slipping and...nevermind; it wasn't pretty.
The daisy border is a punch I did one in yellow and twice in black. The black was spread apart to make a frame for the yellow. Another note to self: double sided tape is not a good thing when it shows thru the openings in the flowers. Duh! So I had to dust it w/ my static bag to remove the sticky then use a black marker to color in where the tape showed. Except that I accidentally used a black glitter marker the first time. The final mistake was on the inside. I like to add a border or coordinating image to the inside of my cards. As I was stamping the polka dots down the side, I dropped the stamp on the top. So I had to cut out some flowers and bees to cover it up. The finished card measures 5.5 x 4.25 and is a virtual Where's Waldo of mistakes hiding in the midst.
Thanks so much for stopping by and if you read all of this, you may be as persistent as I am, lol!

Great card! and Great post too! Why do I like hearing that it's not only me who has those kinds of problems? Your end card is wonderful, fun colors and the dots are perfect with them. The daisy's remind me of a honeycomb too! I hope Murphy moved on when you finished!
Just a quick note to let you know that a link to this post will be placed on CraftCrave today [07 May 01:00am GMT]. Thanks, Maria

I am personally involved with Murphy's brother Damit. He visits often - love the card and you are great at hiding Murphy's involvement.
Your card is adorable! Love the bees.
If it wasn't for days like that, we might not appreciate the ones when everything goes well!
