Happy St. Patrick's Day
>> Tuesday, March 1, 2011
Hi Everyone!
I have a very traditional card to show you today. I really cheated when making this card the other day, because it's a layout that I have used a million times at Christmas, only then I used an evergreen wreath. It's so classic though, that I figured it had to work for this great Shamrock Circle from the new releases at DRS Designs.
I stamped my card base using Lines O' Plenty ( Great name for a stamp being used on a St. Patty's Day card, don'tcha think? ;) ) a fantastic all around background stamp.
I stamped the wreath in Versamark and clear embossed it. After it cooled, I went in with my Copics and colored the little shamrocks. The Happy St. Patrick's Day can also be found in the new releases. Here is a close up of the shiny embossing...
Lastly, I tied the wrinkle ribbon in a bow, and added it with a glue dot just as if it were a Christmas time wreath.

Love how you cut out the Shamrock circle around the shamrocks--I always just use my Nesties for 1 quick cut! Love the layout too!
Lovely card Karin, I love how beautiful the embossing looks.
Wonderful, Karin! Love your embossed wreath and terrific colors.
I am completely impressed with how you cut the wreath out! Fussy cutting? It is a wonderfully traditional layout. Great job.
Beautiful card Karin! The wreath is awesome - reminded me of Christmas!
That's not cheating, that's working smart not hard :) Great results too!
