In Sympathy
>> Sunday, February 27, 2011
Welcome!
One of my favorite cards to make is strangely, sympathy cards. I think it's because I tend to use nature stamps and very soothing colors. Anyway... here is a sympathy card I made earlier this week
I started by stamping a small piece of celery cs with our Sadness You're Feeling sympathy stamp using black ink and a second piece for the leaf layer using our Silhouette Branch stamp and vintage green ink. After trimming both and cutting a new piece of cs to 4" x 5 1/4" I sponged on a light edging of vintage green ink on all the edges and then gave them all a good distressing!

Easter Window
>> Friday, February 25, 2011
by Julie Warner - The Write Stuff
The Suncatcher was stamped twice and colored w/ markers. One was die cut w/ a circle die and I cut out just the flowers from the second image and layered them on top of the base image. After using an embossing folder on a piece of white c/s, I layered it onto a larger turquoise piece and then onto the 4.25 x 5.5 white card. Using the same circle die, I cut out a circular window through the layered card front and attached my image on the inside of the card.
I die cut a lacy circle frame out of turquoise and attached it on top of the opening. A paper crimper was used on the ends of the turquoise band and the greeting (w/ rounded corners) was attached on top. The main sentiment was stamped on the inside of the card and stickles was added to the flowers.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great weekend!

Green Beer
>> Thursday, February 24, 2011
Today I am featuring a new release from DRS Designs. I have used the sentiment:Drink Green Beer (644G)along with the Large Beer Mug (557H). I added some Ranger stickles to mimic the beer foam and colored the beer mug with copics. I also used the Woven plaid stamp (613P) to create the background. I just love that plaid stamp (613P). It is so easy and versatile to use.

Hi there...it's me Cathy. Hope your week is going well. Here is my creation for you for this week...
Another clean and simple card! I used the new Martha Stewart punch anywhere punch for the fancy squares. I used the floral embossing folder to dress them up a little. The card base was embossed with the same folder. I added a vellum butterfly to each square. The sentiment is a new release by DRS Designs. A border punch, ribbon and some jewels finished things off.

Open Your Heart At Easter
>> Monday, February 21, 2011

I colored the cross with Copic Markers and then carefully cut it out. I adhered it to a piece of matted pink cardstock that was dry embossed with the Textile Texture Cuttlebug folder. I used a sheet of smooth pink cardstock for the card front and inked the edges with Colorbox Rouge Chalk Ink. After using a corner rounder, I stamped the sentiment along the upper left side and adhered the matted image next to it. I stamped the One Line Happy Easter Greeting (665B) at the bottom of the card front and added pink and white plaid ribbon and a bow just above it. I then adhered the card front to a brown A2 sized cardstock base. A touch of pink glitter added to the flowers finished this card nicely. Hope you enjoyed it!

Lucky Larry the Leprechaun
>> Sunday, February 20, 2011
Welcome!
Is this year flying by or what??? I can't believe it's almost March already. The only good thing is that Spring is on it's way! Yeah!
I have a St. Patrick's card for you today using our new Lucky Larry the Leprechaun stamp.
I started my card by folding a piece of green card stock in half, then cutting out the shamrock shape. I sponged on a little darker green on the edges to add a little pizzazz, then stamped each petal of the shamrock with a portion of our new Top O' the Morning stamp using clear ink and gold embossing powder. Larry was stamped, colored and cut then mounted on a white mega scallop circle that I sponged yellow on the edges that attached to the center of the shamrock.

Green Beer

I'm using several fun new St. Patrick's Day images on my card. The red headed leprechaun was stamped, colored and cut out. He's attached to a shamrock circle I stamped and die cut. I stamped a few more half circles on lt green and cut the lower edge for the swag at the top.
The beer mug was stamped with the green/yellow part of a rainbow pad and the greeting was stamped on top. I used a dot border embossing folder across the top of the green layer before attaching everything to a 5.5 x 4.25 white card.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great weekend!

>> Wednesday, February 16, 2011
sometimes you just need to have a little! Hi There, welcome back to another Wednesday, middle of the week, (yay) post with me, Cathy. Well, we're already half way through February...spring really is just around the corner! I have a somewhat springy card for you today...another clean and simple one!
This is such a pretty new sentiment by DRS, I just had to make it the focal image of my card. Some prima flowers, jewels, a ribbon and some Michaels bridal flowers (for leaves) finished things off. I used an embossing folder for my white panel which was adhered to the card base with pop dots.
This was a fun, quick and easy card. When you're busy, that's the best kind!!! Clean, simple and just a bit elegant if I do say so myself!!!

Welcome!
I made this quick and easy card by randomly stamping our Texture Butterfly using a rainbow pad. My next step was making a mask of the butterfly so I could put the Silhouette Branch behind them using Memories Soft Leaf ink.
I attached the background to a folded purple card, then stamped our New Faith Saying on white using blue ink and stamped the Triple Crosses in the background using Memories Soft Lilac ink and after cutting the smaller purple layer I attached it directly to the background, then used 1/4" foam tape to pop up the saying.

Celtic Cross
>> Friday, February 11, 2011
by Julie Warner - The Write Stuff
Are y'all about ready for spring? When St. Paddy's Day comes, that means the first day of spring is only a few days away. For this card, I'm using the new Celtic Knot image and I fashioned a Celtic Cross with it. A little masking here and there and some shading with a green maker; a little more masking and I stamped the Knot Mega circle to complete my cross. I cut out two extra knots and layered them in opposite directions in the center and added a little stickles. I drew a green border and added two green layers and lightly sponged around the edges.
The edges of my 4.25 x 5.5 card were also stamped with the knot and I added the greeting at the bottom and a little bow at the top.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great weekend!
Supplies:
stamps: Celtic Knot, Knot Mega Circle, One Line St. Pat's Greeting
paper: white, emerald, lt green
ink: Vivid Spring Green
accessories: lt green marker, stickles, ribbon

It's almost here...
>> Wednesday, February 9, 2011
Hi there...it's me Cathy!
So...it's almost here...Valentines Day that is. Are you ready? Here's a card to get you in the spirit!!
Of course, the images are by DRS Designs!!! This girl swirl heart is from the last release of images. I think it is so cool. I added a few tear drop jewels to the tear drop shapes in the image. The black panel, although hard to see is dry embossed with the same folder as the purple circle. A fiskars border punch, some piercing and some jewels finished things off.
Be sure to check back again AND check out the DT blogs for projects using images from the most recent St. Patricks and Easter release. There are images you definitely dont want to miss out on. We all could use a little spring right now!!!

Easter Daffodils
>> Monday, February 7, 2011
I colored this image with Copic Markers and stamped it a second time so that I could layer the Daffodil blooms. A bit of Yellow Stickles really makes these blooms beautiful and I love how the drying process curled the edges up a bit. The Blooming Easter Greeting (660F) is also one of DRS Designs New Releases. I think it goes great along side this image. The background was dry embossed and only ribbon was used to embellish this card as I didn't want to take away from the image itself. Finished card size is A2, 4.25" x 5.5".
Here's hoping that Spring is right around your corner, too!
Thanks for visiting!
Getting a jump on St. Pats Day!
>> Sunday, February 6, 2011
The rest was simple! I stamped and embossed our New Happy St. Patrick's Greeting using the same ink and ep, cut out the top of the design and then adhered the black cut out to a folded green card leaving about 1/8" of green showing at the bottom!
I was having soooo much fun I decided to make another one, only this time I wanted to jazz it up a little, so I choose one "knot" and colored it using a versamark pen and covered that with some green embossing tinsel. Now I'm not sure which one is my favorite favorite!
Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Irish Teddy
>> Friday, February 4, 2011
by Julie Warner - The Write Stuff
My little Irish Teddy is all decked out in his shamrock vest and hat and he can't wait for St. Paddy's Day. Green (any shade) is my all time fave color so if I wasn't already of Irish descent, I would still love the wearin' o' the green! Teddy was stamped twice, colored w/ markers and cut out. I layered the extra head and right arm/leg on top of the base image for a little dimension. I stamped Everything Irish w/ rainbow ink and die cut w/ an oval die. I used a larger, oval shaped die for the green and since my greeting is unmounted, I was able to curve it slightly to fit the shape.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great Super Bowl weekend!
Supplies:
stamps: Paddy Bear, Top o' the Morning!, Everything Irish, Woven Plaid, Four Leaf Clover
paper: white, lt green, emerald green
ink: Ancient Page coal, Kaleidacolor Melon Melody rainbow ink (only the greens & yellow part)

Warm Wishes
>> Wednesday, February 2, 2011
It's me, Cathy, stopping by to send some warm wishes to you in this never ending winter!!!
Here is my warm wishes card...
I stamped the new woven plaid stamp from the last release of images on a swatch of fabric that I picked up at Pottery Barn. It is stamped in brown and blue, although you can't really see the blue :(. I used the argyle embossing folder, distressing all cardstock layer edges. A felt ribbon, a tab stamped with "warm wishes" and some buttons, finished things off.
Be sure to check out the team members blogs...we all have peeks at new release images. Fun and pretty images to get you ready for Spring!!
