Ice Skates & Snowflakes

Happy Friday! The weekend is almost here.
It's been so cold lately, I feel like I need a pair of ice skates. Luckily, I just received this great pair. It's sort of a re-release image and I'm so glad it's back! I see many possibilities with these skates. Not only for the holidays, but wouldn't this make a great December or winter birthday card?
For my card, I went with an icy blue and white color combo and lots of sparkly embossing and fussy cutting. It may be weird, but I really like cutting. I used an indigo pigment ink w/ the sparkly, translucent embossing powder for the skates and December images and a silver pigment w/ the same powder for all the snowflakes and snowflake wreath. The images were colored w/ markers and a water brush. The wreath was die cut and the edges of it as well as the edges of the dk blue background were also embossed for a little extra sparkle. All of the images are popped up just slightly. The finished card is 4.25 x 5.5.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
