It's New Year's Eve!
On a piece of acetate, I stamped the snowflakes with white Stazon then attached it to the frame with brads. The cut out sentiment was attached on top of the acetate and the finished card measures 5.5 x 4.25.
Hi there...it's me, Cathy...
The holidays came and went so fast that I just didnt have time to share and/or make all the projects that came to mind for all the great DRS images, new and old. So here is one last one...if you're in the Northeast and buried under all the snow we got this weekend, it might be a great time to get caught up on some projects for next years holiday season. Trust me, next year, you will be so glad to find some things done...especially if they are useful, like tags...
This new Santa face image is perfect for holiday tags. A circle punch and a scallop punch make this a quick and easy project. I stamped the scallop punch with the flake mega scallop image. If you want to take your project a step further, use a small embossing folder to emboss the inner circle, color with markers and add some white flock to Santas pom pom.
For this project, I stamped a new greeting on the back of the tag, but you could always do the usual to/from.
I chose to make this tag part of a card, but you could always make a baggie full of tags and stash them for next year. I find it relaxing to do multiples of things sometimes. You can sit in front of the TV and use your punches or watch the kids play in the snow while you color.
I hope Santa was good to you this year. Be sure to keep checking back because very soon you will start seeing peeks of soon to be released images. What better way to start off your year than expecting a package from DRS Designs full of great new images for all your papercrafting needs!!!
Thanks for checking in...
See you soon...
Welcome!
I'm hoping you all had a wonderful Christmas!
My card today features a sneak peak at 2 of our upcoming New Release Stamps that will be available soon!
I started my card by stamping our new Girl Swirl (585G) using clear versamark ink and clear embossing powder, and then stamping the same Girl Swirl again using black ink. Next was stamping our Lots of Dots Giga Circle (094L) using clear ink on black cs and embossing with white powder. I layered that with red cs stamped with our Lots of Dots Mega (125H) circle stamped with black ink. To top it all off I stamped our new Penguin (569D) using black pigment ink and clear embossed him, added the red scarf and skates and orange beak and cut him out. Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezey as they say!
Thanks for stopping by - Enjoy your Holiday week and I hope you have the Happiest of New Years!

As we (hopefully) all gather together with our family and friends on this Christmas Eve, may we all take a few minutes to reflect on the true meaning of Christmas. To me, these images say it very well. So I kept my card simple to highlight the images.
The manager scene and left side were embossed with a white, shimmery powder onto navy card stock. The right side has the Silent Night music stamped again, this time in dk blue ink onto the white card front. A simple, sheer white bow was added on the left and the main image was die cut with a large circle die. The white card measures 5.5 x 4.25.
Thanks so much for stopping by! I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and hope you are able to be with your loved ones to celebrate.
Supplies:
stamps: Holy Family Manger Scene, Silent Night Sheet Music
paper: white, navy blue
ink: white pigment, cobalt dye ink
accessories: shimmer white embossing powder, lg circle dies, sheer white ribbon
Is your tinsel in a tangle yet, as the holiday quickly approaches? I just love this new sentiment by DRS Designs. How could you not?! This was a quick and easy card thanks to this great sentiment and some fun ribbon.
I simply embossed the card with a cuttlebug embossing folder. Some red mirror paper across the middle covers the line since I only embossed half of the card front. I tied the ribbon around one of the focal panels and then simply adhered a few of the ribbon circles to achieve the "tangled" look!! Of course, I had to add a few jewels for good measure!
Thanks for checking in. I would love to see what you have done using this sentiment. Send me a link to your card and I just might send you a piece of DRS Designs rubber to play with on another card!!!!
Thanks for checking in...
See you soon...

Welcome!!
I'm guessing I'm not alone in saying I've had a busy week ;) I did take a few minutes to stamp this card as a reminder of the true meaning of the season~I started my card by stamping the top left corner of white cs with the star from our new Three Wise Men Peace Stamp using clear versamark ink and clear embossing. After adhering piece of scrap paper with a mega scallop oval punched out, I sponged on lots of ultramarine and violet inks. After removing the mask I stamped our new Simplify Christmas Greeting in the bottom left corner using ultramarine ink and then added a single jewel to the center of the star.
Thanks for stopping by and visiting with us during this crazy time of year, and I'd like to wish everyone a Very Merry Christmas!!

The background on my 4.25 x 5.5 white card was stamped with the dough image and embossed with glittery powder. I used a red marker and a water brush to add the color to the sentiment and hand cut the arrow shape.
Hi there...It's me, Cathy!
I hope your holiday preparations are well under way and things are going as planned. Mine are a little slow this year due to all the change in my life but as old traditions pass, new ones take their place! I'm happy to say that although I'm a little behind this year, I'm still enjoying every bit of this season.
I have a "retro" card for you today...I'm not really a retro kind of girl, I like the country look much better but sometimes you need to break out of the norm. I used two of DRS's newest images...
I'm in love with this new shooting star image and I thought the sentiment was "simply" perfect! I used a cuttlebug embossing folder on the side and a Making Memories charm is tied to the ribbon with silver cord. As an after thought, after I took the photo, I found a teeny tiny star jewel that I glued to the star in the sentiment. I'm a little tired after last nights work holiday party so retaking photos is not an option today ;). It's hard to tell in the photo, but the star was stamped a second time on silver mirror paper and cut out. I adhered it with a pop dot.
Thanks for checking in...
See you soon...

Welcome!
Have you finished your Christmas Cards yet?? I haven't even started mine!! I've been playing around, not sure what direction I wanted to go in... funny.... serious.... pretty...and well... here's what I came up with the other night - my very colorful Christmas Card! Wish me luck that I'll make a decision have one to show you next week!

My first step was to cut four squares of white cs 1 3/4 x 1 3/4. I stamped our new Santa Face in the center of each and after coloring each one I layered them on black. I then layered the 4 on a piece of purple cs and then on a folded black card. For the center piece I cut more cs at 1 1/2 x 1 1/2 and stamped our Fun Merry Christmas in the center, layered it on black and added some green bling! Pretty quick and easy if you like coloring!
Thanks for stopping by! I hope all your Christmas preparation is going well!

Happy Friday! The weekend is almost here.
It's been so cold lately, I feel like I need a pair of ice skates. Luckily, I just received this great pair. It's sort of a re-release image and I'm so glad it's back! I see many possibilities with these skates. Not only for the holidays, but wouldn't this make a great December or winter birthday card?
For my card, I went with an icy blue and white color combo and lots of sparkly embossing and fussy cutting. It may be weird, but I really like cutting. I used an indigo pigment ink w/ the sparkly, translucent embossing powder for the skates and December images and a silver pigment w/ the same powder for all the snowflakes and snowflake wreath. The images were colored w/ markers and a water brush. The wreath was die cut and the edges of it as well as the edges of the dk blue background were also embossed for a little extra sparkle. All of the images are popped up just slightly. The finished card is 4.25 x 5.5.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
Supplies:
stamps: Ice Skates, Snowflake Wreath, Swirling Snowflakes, December Design
