So Long Summer

Good Morning Everyone!

Have you played along with the Card Patterns sketch challenge that DRS Designs is sponsoring?  Today is your last chance to win a $10.00 gift certificate to the DRS Designs store!  Here is the sketch:

I thought I would take a quick break from the holiday card making in order to say goodbye to summer time.  It sure flew by, didn't it?

I used the Brush Beach Sunrise stamp for the focal image and colored it with Copic and Bic Mark-Its.  The swirls on my background paper were made using the Swag and Dot 2.5" Mega Circle stamp,

and I cut apart the sentiment (You are my Sunshine) to make it fit the sketch.  I tried to be clever and layered the word Sunshine with a scallop punch to mimic the sun ;)

Here is a close up of my popped up palm tree and the Stickles I added to the sun.
