Happy Sunday and to our U.S. readers - "Happy 4th of July"!! While I won't be sharing a patriotic card today on the blog, I have shared a couple over the past month: Flag of Allegiance and UR My Star Scrapling
For today's card I used DRS' Silhouette Butterfly Background (H536) to create the background on the card. Before stamping the image with an off-white ink I masked a frame around the edge and across the center where I wanted the Butterfly Greeting (F349) sentiment to go. I cut the card slightly thinner than a standard card (finished size is 3.25" x 5.5") so the butterfly and flower could hang off the edges, without requiring a special envelope.
For some sparkle I used Smooch to color in the Butterfly Ribbon Slide (D681) and the flower accent. To get the dark lines across the card I first scored two lines, then colored over them with the same Smooch color used on the outside of the butterfly's wings.
Thanks for stopping by today and make sure to check in throughout the month to see all of the lovely eye candy the design team has been working on.
