A blast from my past

Welcome!
As I sat down to stamp the other night, I had to do a little cleaning from my previous stamping fun (I'm sure you'd never leave dirty stamps sitting around!?) One of the stamps I had to clean was our Original Plaid Stamp (P641) and for whatever reason I remembered a background I haven't made in years. So in my efforts to put off cleaning I jumped right to in and got to work!
To start with let me show you a picture of my completed card ~
I love our new "Nothing Goes Right" greeting (D152) and was looking for the "right" background to go with it. I'm happy I stumbled myself into remembering this one!
The easiest way I can tell you how to make this background is to get a piece of thin scrap paper (copy paper) that's larger than your background card stock and cut a 3/4" x 5" rectangle out of the center. Tape the edges of your background card to your work surface and after laying the mask on top of your background paper (I like to tape this too) you can stamp the plaid at a 45 degree angle. I normally start at the bottom and work my way up, lining up the previous stamping with the edge of my wood so I get the same angle. Once the whole column is complete, I move my mask making sure the edges of the previous stamping is seen on one side. I stamp this next column so that the angle is opposite my first column. That's it - a little time consuming but not difficult.
Thanks for stopping by!!
