To Bait or Not to Bait?

It really felt like Spring this week. Warm and sunny. It seemed like perfect fishing weather. But since I don't have a fishing pole, I thought a fishing card might do. I can remember fishing with my dad and granddad when I was little. I can also remember getting tired of having to keep putting bait back on the hook. Those fish were just a little too sneaky. Finally, I just threw the line in without any bait and wouldn't you know it, that's when I caught a fish.
For my bait card, I stamped the coffee can and greeting first, then masked the greeting and and stamped the worm on the hook. I stamped an extra can and attached it to the base image. Everything's colored with markers and a water brush then I added a little metallic gold pencil to the hook and metallic silver pencil to the can.
The background layers were stamped tone on tone using the Vicki's versatile background. The straw mesh is a wide ribbon and I unraveled the edges a bit.
Thanks so much for stopping by! I hope you had a chance to get outside and take advantage of the nice Spring weather. And I'd probably choose to bait this time, lol.
