Candied Apple Anyone?

Well, this is an idea that has been brewing in my head for quite a while! Ever since this candy apple image was released a month or two ago I knew I had to use it for a candied apple kit! I cheated slightly, I have to admit!! I did purchase a "kit" at the store and repackaged the mix and sticks that came inside in a clear card box. I stamped the apple image on red cardstock and cut it out. I shaded the side with some brown ink and a sponge and used a white gel pen for the "shine" on the apple. I replaced the stamped stick with a real pop stick and a silk flower leaf. A strip of burlap and a button finished off the "wrap".

I added a baggie of nuts and a baggie of cinnamon sugar that the apples could be rolled in before they cool. I then re-typed the directions and stamped the apple in red ink.

Here is a shot of the back...the direction card slips easily behind the contents for a quick and fun gift.

Perfect for teachers, baby sitters, hostesses...why give the same old gifts...why not try your hand at something different this year...feel free to share your ideas in the comments section. I know I'm always looking for new ideas!!

See you soon...

What an adorable idea, Cathy! Love how you replaced the stamped "stick" with the wooden stick instead, and the recipe card with the image stamped on it, too! Very cute!
