a sketch challenge that is!! As of yesterday, DRS Designs is the proud sponsor of Caardvarks challenge blog! If you haven't checked it out...be sure to head on over! On the 5th and 20th of each month, they issue a new challenge. The challenge that DRS is sponsoring is a sketch challenge and there are three sketches to choose from!!
Here is the sketch I chose to work with...
and the card...
Don't you just love this new snowman (L001) image by DRS? He's just so cute!! I kept the sketch and the card clean and simple (CAS). I added some tiny jewels for the holly berries and colored them red with a Copic marker. I used the Fiskars threading water punch on the black panel and added some white satin ribbon. A simple sentiment (B1014) and jewels finished things off.
Be sure to stop back tomorrow as the DRS DT shares some holiday card inspiration with you. We would love for you to join us in our holiday card drive for Cards for Heroes. Be sure to stop by tomorrow to get all the details!
See you soon...

Great take on this sketch! Great coloring; I especially like how you finished Frosty's hat!
This is terrific, Cathy! Love your snowman and the scallop border is wonderful.
This is great Cathy. I love the sketch and you've made it work awesomely! Off to play along now... :)
Really beautiful card Cathy!! I love the bling on the scallops!! Frosty looks fabulous!! :)
Adorable! Love your color choices--I always see snowmen going with blue, but I really like how you've coordinated him with the red and black.
