Coloring Eggs - A Memory Past
>> Wednesday, April 1, 2009
One of my favorite memories growing up was coloring eggs at Eastertime. We used to boil about two dozen, and then use white crayons to write on them (early resist technique - way back about 45 years ago!!) and make designs. When I had my own children, they liked doing the same thing. But we also made some fun glitter dye and had some sparkly eggs as well. This beautiful egg image reminded me of those days gone by.
After stamping with waterproof black ink, I watercolored each egg with an aqua brush and reinkers, and then added Crystal Stickles to each egg. The sentiment is perfect for an egg-stra special card for someone! Click HERE to see all our fun Easter images!
My kids are now much older and we haven't colored eggs in a few years. I might just do it again next week!
Have a wonderful Easter! (Oh, and be careful today - it's April Fools' Day, you know! No joke! HA)~
