Snowman Soup with a Bonus

It's coming up on the time of year that I like to call the 'Christmas Crunch' when the holidays are just around the bend and there are still several empty spots on the Christmas gift list! Even though meaningful gifts are still needed, it's time to break out the quick and easy projects. Snowman soup with the bonus of a clippie bookmark fits all of these requirements.

Create a bag topper with a slot for the jumbo paper clip bookmark, add gourmet hot chocolate with a candy cane and voila -- a project perfect for teachers, friends, or to keep on hand 'just in case'.

Here's a close-up of the topper:

Bookmark supplies: All stamps by DRS Designs including Round Button Snowman H1129, Triple Teardrop Giga Circle, Interlocking Snowflake Background H015; Ballet Blue and Whisper White cardstock, jumbo paper clip, Marvy giga circle punch, Nestabilities circles, Prismacolor pencils, turpenoid, Versamark ink, Versafine Onyx black, Real Red ink, Winter wonderland EP, red gingham ribbon.

Bag Topper supplies: DRS Stamps Snowflake BG H015, Ho Ho Ho Card Edger P477, Ballet Blue, Whisper White and Real Red cardstock, Real Red and Versamark ink, Winter Wonderland EP, Rectangular Nestabilities, word window punch, computer generated sentiment (see below).

There are several versions of the Snowman Soup poem, but this one seemed the most versatile for any gift-giving occasion. It was computer-generated in bulk, another way to speed the crafting process:

Snowman soup projects are easy to make several at a time; get all the supplies ready and kids will enjoy helping to create these special gifts for their teachers and friends. And the lucky recipients can not only enjoy a hot cup of cocoa now, but will have the bookmark to enjoy throughout the year!

Very, very cute, and I love the fact that you can then use the clip for a bookmark. Who doesn't love curling up with a good book and a hot cup of cocoa?! Great idea, Jessica!! :D Kel
