Happy Friday!
Are y'all ready for Independence Day? Fireworks, barbecues, hanging out at the pool or the lake..that part sounds great! Perfect way to beat the heat. I think these flamingos have the right idea. Aren't they just the cutest? I love flamingos..even the yard flamingos you see all over the place in Florida. Add a couple of those metal chairs & you've got a real retro thing going. Don't forget the umbrella drink.
To make my card, I put the image into my Misti, stamped w/ Memento, colored w/ Copics then over stamped w/ Versafine. I added a few highlights in the water w/ a white gel pen then did a little fussy cutting on the top. I took another piece of white card stock & sponged the 3 Distress inks from dark to light from the top down & placed this behind my image. On the blue frame, I stamped the woodgrain bg w/ the sky blue ink to give it a little texture.

Here's a look at the inside & below it are the Copics I used. The flip flops were die cut & I just drew the straps on & shaded them a bit.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great 4th of July weekend!
