Birthday Bubbles

This week at Split Coast Stampers we were shown how to stamp a selfie image for cards. If you check a few posts back here on DRS Designs' blog, you'll find Julie's fabulous Pigs on Vacay Selfie. Julie inspired me to give this technique a try. Since I needed a birthday card for my 4 year old granddaughter I went with the Bubble Piggies. What four year old has a party without bubbles, right?!!
I started by creating the frame for the selfie, along with a mask for the frame with nesties. Using the mask I stamped Leonard pig behind a bubble with Memento black ink in the corner, made a mask for him, then stamped Leonard blowing bubbles over top. Once the images were colored with Copics, I added some Wink of Stella to give the bubbles some sparkle. The frame was glued on and then attached to the blue panel that was embossed with a CB folder. The Leonard the pig Billboard was stamped with Memento black ink, colored with Copics and fussy cut. The birthday greeting is part of the Multi Birthday image and was stamped with Versafine black Onyx ink. Some enamels dots were added to the corner of the frame. I think my granddaughter will like this bubbly piggy card.
There's still time to join in this week's fun Pet challenge here at DRS Designs. We'd love to have you join in the fun!
Thanks for stopping by,
shelia
