Happy Far Out Friday!

Ok, does the title make you feel like you're watching a Sonny & Cher rerun or a Cheech & Chong movie? Maybe it's just me. This card totally takes me back to the end of the sixties/early seventies. This chartreuse color is still one my dad's favorites. And he loved the sixties! He was the first one in our neighborhood to sport those white bell bottom pants. You know, those polyester ugly pants you wouldn't be caught dead wearing now...even on the golf course! As kids, my siblings and I were too young to buy our own clothes and no way could we talk mom into cool stuff, but she couldn't stop Pop from dressing like a rock star or buying a Mustang convertible, lol! So he really does stand out in a crowd. Even now!

This is a pretty easy card; I let all the peace signs do the talking. They're all stamped in a citrine pigment ink. The big kahuna was stamped and embossed on top of a scribbled marker background then die cut w/ lg circle die. The pink behind it was die cut w/ a lacy circle.

For the long inset, I used a long rectangle die to cut out a section of my background, attached it to a scallop pink rectangle and put it back on top of the opening. I added a few cut out flowers and used my SAMJ to split the sentiment into 2 lines. I used a hot pink marker to color in a few of the letters. Finished card measures 5.5 x 4.25.

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great Memorial Day weekend!
