Operation Write Home Card Drive

It's time for DRS Designs annual card drive for Operation Write Home

Start creating stamped cards today to help support our Troops! All donors will receive a Thank You prize from DRS Designs.  The donor who sends in the most donated cards will win a $50 DRS Designs Gift Certificate and the next 2 generous donors will receive a $25 DRS Designs Gift Certificate.  Deadline for all donations is Oct 10, 2012.  There are certain requirements for the cards they will accept. Please see all of the details for this card drive HERE.

The card themes specifically needed for this drive are:
Thank You
Missing You
Thinking of You
Blank (no sentiment)

Here is one of the "Thinking Of You" cards I created to send to OWH.

I chose the Seaside Dock (1111K) as my focal image and colored it with Copic markers. The On My Mind greeting (031D) was added to the top of the image after it was colored.  Staying within the OWH card detail requirements, I did embellish this card a little bit using ribbon bits attached with staples, natural twine wrapped around the top, and the boat was adhered with foam tape to add a little dimension.

I've made sure to also include envelopes for each of the cards I've sent in, as required, but most of all I've enjoyed myself while making them and glad that I can do something to help.

We hope you have fun with this card drive as well and we thank you in advance for supporting our Troops.
